남편의 첫 부임지인 한국에 도착한 때가 겨울이었다.

차바 여사는 인터뷰 중 탄자니아 최초의 여성 국가수반인 사미아 술루후 하산 대통령을 여러 차례 언급했다.
전임 대통령의 급서 이후 부통령에서 대통령직을 승계해 잔여 임기를 수행한 뒤 선거를 통해 재선에 성공한 지도자다.
차바 여사는 하산 대통령 체제에서 임신한 학생의 학교 복귀가 허용되는 등 여성의 교육받을 권리가 크게 신장했다고 평가했다.

"Everyone can make mistakes, but it should not be the end of life. A second chance must be given," she said.
